Dear Friends and Neighbors,
I’m reaching out as your representative for the 8th Legislative District to give you a heads-up about an event that I think you’ll want to be a part of.
Citizen’s Legislative Workshop
Date: Thursday, Dec. 7
Time: 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Location: Richland Public Library
Senator Matt Boehnke, Representative April Connors, and I are coordinating a Citizen’s Legislative Workshop at the Richland Public Library. It’s all about showing you the ropes on how to get involved in the legislative process and have your say in what happens in Olympia.
- Get the lowdown on how laws get made.
- Talk to local lawmakers.
- Explore ways you can jump into the action.
- Ask us anything you want to know.
Whether you’re already a pro at this stuff or new to it, this workshop will be a chance to figure out how our state government works. We’ll talk about what happens when the Legislature is in session, how committees do their work, and the best ways to get in touch with us.
Your voice matters, and we want to make sure you know how to use it. So, put this date on your calendar – Thursday, Dec. 7, at the Richland Public Library. It will be an informative evening, and we’d love to see you there.
Have questions or need more info? Call me at (360) 300-2375 or email Stephanie.Barnard@leg.wa.gov.
Thank you for caring about our community. I can’t wait to see you at the workshop!
